Unusual Background & Involvement In Major National Issues Rodney Stich has an unusual background, starting in December 1940, when he joined the U.S. Navy, after which he became a Naval Aviator and Patrol Plane Commander (PPC). After the end of World War II, he became an airline pilot, and flew for an airline that the Saturday Evening Post called in three articles, "The Daring Young Men of Transocean Airlines." He was also one of the first pilots licensed by Japan, holding a Japanese Airline Transports Pilot rating number 170. While flying for Japan Airlines shortly after the end of World War II, his copilots were often former former warplane pilots with whom U.S. navy pilots engaged in combat. In his international airline flying, he became involved in numerous interesting experiences. Two of these included flying planeloads of Muslims from throughout the Middle East to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina; and being caught in an Iranian revolution in 1953. (These are described in his book, David vs. Goliath: 9/11 and Other Tragedies. Later, he became a federal airline safety inspector-investigator, and was eventually given the task of correcting the conditions responsible for the worst series of airline disasters in the nation's history. That experience made him aware of serious problems in government, and caused him to become an activist against corruption in government. Today, 40 years later, with considerable more information, it continues to be a full-time task. Books and Radio-TV Appearances to Inform the Public

In attempting to circumvent the blocks to exposing corruption in government, he started publishing books in 1978, and simultaneously started appearing on hundreds of radio and TV shows as guest and expert. Today, he has over a dozen non-fiction books and has appeared on over 3,000 radio and TV shows. The publicity from these activities caused a continuing series of other present and former government agents and other insiders to provide him with information on corruption in other areas of overt and covert government operations. Combined with his knowledge of corruption while a government agent and what he subsequently learned, and what he learned over the years from his many sources, he published books on these matters. Not Without Risk Seeking to protect the public from powerful corruption was not without risk. He financed his expensive activist activities using his $10 million in real estate assets. Seeking to halt his exposure actions, a series of bizarre actions were taken against him, starting with a sham lawsuit in 1982 by a CIA-FBI-related law firm, that was barred by law and facts, and continuing until 2005. These tactics are described in the book, Unfriendly Skies: 20th & 21st Centuries, and associate the silencing tactics with the effects in a series of major airline disasters.
